Austria is preparing to hold
elections to the National Council, the Austrian parliament, on
September 29, 2024. The election campaign is in full swing, with
the major parties presenting their platforms and launching their
campaigns. The ÖVP (Austrian People's Party), led by Karl
Nehammer, is touring the federal states under the title "Working
for Austria". The ÖVP campaign will officially launch on
September 7 in Vienna. The SPÖ (Social Democratic Party of
Austria) launched its campaign last week with posters featuring
the slogan "Heart and Brain." The SPÖ campaign will officially
launch on August 29 in Linz. Andreas Babler is currently the
leading candidate. The FPÖ (Freedom Party of Austria) organises
events under the title "Heimatsommer" (Homeland Summer),
focussing on traditions, crafts, and folk music. The FPÖ
campaign will be officially launched on September 7 in Graz.
