A 21-year-old woman from Florence was stabbed by her Norwegian ex while she was working at a store in Oslo, investigative sources said Sunday.
The Italian citizen, who has been identified as Martina Voce, is in critical condition in a drug-induced coma in the intensive care unit of a local hospital, her father told ANSA on Sunday.
"Her life is still at risk but we are confident", Voce's father told ANSA in a message.
Er ex, a 20-year-old Norwegian man without a police record, was also wounded and is currently being detained in hospital.
The Florence native was in the Norwegian capital to study.
According to preliminary investigations, her ex stabbed her in the neck before being stopped by three of the victim's colleagues, two men and a woman, who rushed to stop him, allegedly injuring him.
The young man faces attempted murder charges and will be taken to prison as soon as he is discharged from hospital, investigative sources said.
The student works for Smak av Italia, an Italian shop in the mall Vulkan in Grünerl›kka, a central district of the capital.
