"The government decided to take
this path because it was part of our electoral programme," said
Luca Ciriani, Minister for Parliamentary Relations. "The centres
in Albania are first and foremost necessary as a deterrent, but
they also serve because many regions, including those governed
by the centre-left, do not want reception centres on their
territory."
"We continue on our way, and we issued a new decree: it is up
to the governments to determine which countries are certain and
which are not," he added. "If each judge decides for himself
which countries are sure and which are not, we will be unable to
defend our borders."
