There have been 167 migrants dead and
324 missing in the central Mediterranean since the beginning of
the year, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in
Libya reported in its latest post on X on Monday.
The IOM also reported that 4,942 migrants have been intercepted
at sea and returned to Libya since the beginning of the year,
including 4,442 men, 339 women and 161 minors.
According to the weekly report covering the period from 14 to 20
April, no rescue operations were carried out, while five bodies
were found on the coast of Tripolitania.
