Giacomo Perini conquered an historic
bronze medal for Italy on Sunday in the PR1 men's single sculls
at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
The 28-year-old Italian led most of the competition, only giving
in at the end with Britain's Bejamin Pritchard winning gold and
Ukraine's Roman Polianskyi silver.
Meanwhile in other results on Saturday night, Francesco Bettella
clinched a silver medal in the men's 50m backstroke S1 after
winning bronze on Thursday in the 100m backstroke S1
And Carlotta Gilli won silver in the women's 400m freestyle S13.
It was the third medal for Gilli at the Paralympics in Paris
after a gold in the 100m butterfly and broze in the 100m
backstroke.
