Yesterday, a meeting was held at the Italian Cultural Centre between Ambassador Massimiliano D'Antuono and the lecturers of the Italian Cultural Centre, an important point of reference for the promotion of the Italian language and culture in Georgia, founded in 2007 and operating at Ilia State University.
The meeting, attended by university lecturers and students, was opened by a wide-ranging and interesting discussion on the main theme of the 2024 edition of the Italian Language Week, followed by the lecture "The Italian book - between history and biography" by Prof. Nodar Ladaria, Director of the Centre, and by the interventions of the Centre's lecturers.
Ambassador D'Antuono, in thanking all the participants for the warm welcome, said that "this meeting was a beautiful opportunity to reflect on some great Italian authors, on the history and present of the Italian book, and to discuss the importance of literature that teaches us, enriches our imagination and shapes our view of the world".
