'Innovation: a noun, feminine singular': this is the event organised by the Italian Embassy in Madrid and the Cotec Italia Foundation for Innovation, for 24 October at 7 pm at the embassy, to analyse women's access to the business world in Italy and Spain, with a special focus on female-led start-ups.
General presentations by experts on the situation and prospects in the two countries will be followed by a round table with some female entrepreneurs active in Spain and Italy, to discover exemplary stories and identify good practices.
The initiative ideally follows the two events "Ciencia: sustantivo, singular, femenino" organised by the embassy last February in the Italian schools of Madrid and Barcelona, on the occasion of the "Day of Women and Girls in Science" It is organised within the framework of the Cotec Foundation's project 'Mind The Gap - From She-Cession to She-Discovery': a set of initiatives, meetings and research to analyse the problem of female employment in Italy (especially in the wake of the pandemic) and observe the national female entrepreneurial capacity, with a focus on the most disadvantaged areas of Italy.
The meeting will be opened by the institutional greetings of the Italian ambassador to Spain, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, and will be attended by Luigi Nicolais, president of Cotec Italia.
