Institutions, associations and Italian winemakers line up together at the first edition of Vinitaly.USA, the b2b event scheduled October 20-21 at the Navy Pier in Chicago. Organized by Veronafiere and Fiere Italiane with the support of ITA-Italian Trade Agency and collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Vinitaly.USA aims to become a landmark business event for promoting Italian wine and matching supply and demand.
The President of Veronafiere, Federico Bricolo, said: "The collaboration network that Veronafiere has set in motion with institutions and the involvement of associations representing the wine sector (Unione Italiana Vini and Federvini), and agriculture (Coldiretti, Filiera Italia and Confagricoltura) is an effective example of virtuous promotion on the US market. The presence in Chicago of Minister Francesco Lollobrigida, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Riccardo Guariglia, the legal advisor to Minister Tajani, Marco Rago, alongside the President of ITA, Matteo Zoppas, is a clear demonstration of a team working with companies in a win-win context." It offers buyers more than 230 Italian wineries presenting more than 1650 labels for tasting, as well as regional collectives (Calabria, Campania, Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, Latium and Sardinia), in addition to institutional attendance by the Veneto and Umbria Regions).
