Forecasters said Saturday there will
be more severe bad weather in some areas of the country this
weekend, especially in the Northwest, with autumnal violence,
and part of the Upper Tyrrhenian coast.
Conditions will be better in Adriatic regions and in the South
generally.
In particular, notes Mattia Gussoni, meteorologist of the site
www.iLMeteo.it, after the most intense rains in the morning in
Upper Tuscany, Liguria, Piedmont with some phenomena still in
Emilia, Lombardy and Friuli, in the afternoon of Saturday the
bad weather will concentrate on Liguria, from the East towards
the West, Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta with rainfall over 150
liters per square meter.
The weather will improve in the rest of the Center and the sun
will shine throughout the South, sometimes covered by clouds
arriving from North Africa.
"This - explains Gussoni - is the period of the most intense
phenomena in Italy, but this year they arrived early and without
cold outbreaks from the polar zones".
It is thus that "still warm seas and water-filled land will
cause sudden flooding of rivers, under the continuous
development of scattered cloudbursts".
On Sunday precipitation will continue to hit the same areas, in
particular in western and northern Piedmont, in Valle d'Aosta,
in Western Liguria with some storms also arriving in Sardinia.
The peak of the bad weather is expected in the morning then, if
the forecasts are confirmed, from the afternoon the removal of
the vortex of disturbance towards France, Spain and Morocco will
favor a gradual and slow improvement.
From next week the weather will be anticyclonic everywhere with
sunny and dry conditions: but an anticyclone in autumn means,
however, also fog, at times thick, in the Po Valley.
