Justice Minister Carlo Nordio on
Wednesday was set to have a meeting at Premier Giorgia Meloni's
office, Palazzo Chigi, to evaluate the possible release of
Mohammaed Abedini, an Iranian engineer arrested in Milan on
December 16, sources said.
Abedini Najafabadi was detained at a Milan airport under a US
warrant on charges of exporting drone parts allegedly used to
kill three US servicemen in Jordan a year ago.
Italian journalist Cecilia Sala was arrested in Tehran three
days later. She was released by Iran on Wednesday.
