A government meeting has approved a
proposal by Premier Giorgia Meloni to extend until December 31,
2025, the appointment of Nicola Dell'Acqua as national drought
commissioner, Palazzo Chigi said in a note.
Dell'Acqua was appointed by the government on May 4, 2023 to
oversee work to tackle the country's worst drought in 70 years.
