(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 13 - Police in riot gear used their batons
in Turin on Friday after student protesters tried to break
through a cordon outside the city's Politecnico university,
sources said.
The police were also hit by stones and eggs during the
demonstration.
One of the protestors was detained. (ANSA).
