(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 13 - Carabinieri police in Milan Friday
served an arrest warrant in prison on a 43-year-old Polish man
for allegedly killing his partner Hanna Herasimchyk, a
46-year-old Belarusian citizen in June.
The man is charged with murder, aggravated by the fact that he
cohabited with the victim, investigative sources said.
The arrest warrant was issued by a preliminary investigations
judge (GIP) in Milan.
Herasimchyk's body was discovered at the couple's apartment in
Pozzuolo Martesana near Milan on June 13.
Postmortem results showed the woman had been abused and died of
asphyxia.
Friends of the victim said the couple's relationship was
"conflictual" and the woman had confided in them that her
partner abused her and had once beaten her "so violently that
she had fainted", investigative sources.
However, the victim had never reported the alleged abuse to the
authorities. (ANSA).
