(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 11 - The 2025 budget will hire 5,000 more support teachers for special needs pupils in Italy, according to a draft amendment tabled Wednesday.
    The Five thousand more support teachers from the 2025-2026 school year will ensure educational continuity for students with disabilities, said the Ministry of Education.
    The objective, as stated in an explanatory report, is to increase the quality of the educational offer and enhance school personnel, to respond to the increase in the number of students with certified disabilities.
    A constant increase that "requires a structural response that guarantees adequate and stable coverage of support chairs in school institutions", explains the report.
