(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 9 - A nine-year-old girl died from a wheat
allergy after eating gnocchi at a restaurant in Rome last
Thursday, sources said Monday.
The girl felt ill immediately after the meal, eaten with her
family in the restaurant. She suffered spasms, vomit and
difficulty breathing, symptoms that worsened continually until
her parents decided to call an ambulance.
She was rushed to the ER at Casilino hospital, where she was
revived.
Then her condition worsened and she was taken to the Gemelli
hospital where she died after vain attempts to revive her.
