(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 9 - Three drivers employed by a company
working for Amazon have been suspended with immediate effect for
failing to load on their lorries all packages they had been
ordered to deliver by the algorithm of the e-commerce giant, the
FILT CGIL labour union of transport workers said on Monday.
The drivers work for Team Work Srl, a company that manages a
warehouse in Calderara di Reno near Bologna on behalf of Amazon.
FILT CGIl said the workers had failed to load the last packages
considered as exceeding the allowed weight or dimension "for
security reasons" and the company ,"the subsequent work day,
handed them suspension letters with immediate effect without
even allowing the workers to explain themselves". (ANSA).
