(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 9 - Over half of the Italians polled by
consumers association Udicon and the Piepoli Institute will be
celebrating Christmas at home this year, according to the survey
out on Monday.
The poll found that 55% of those surveyed said they would
certainly be celebrating at home while another 25% said they
would probably not be going anywhere.
In addition, the majority said they would be gifting clothes,
food, wines, books and beauty products.
Videogames ranked fifth and were the favourite gifts of Italians
between the ages of 18 and 34, said the poll carried out ahead
of the holiday season.
"This will be a more 'domestic' Christmas, where family and the
home are where festivities are celebrated, compared to the first
years after Covid", said the president of Udicon, Martina
Donnini. (ANSA).
