(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 19 - International football minnows San Marino have put decades of defeats behind them by making history with promotion to Nations League C thanks to a 3-1 win over Liechtenstein on Monday.
    The victory enabled Roberto Cevoli's team to finish top of their League D group with seven points.
    Two months ago they also beat Liechtenstein 1-0 for their first in 20 years. (ANSA).
