(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 19 - Pope Francis reiterated his call for
peace in Ukraine on Wednesday, the 1,000th day since Russia's
invasion of its neighbour.
"War is always a defeat," the Argentine pontiff said via X.
"I call again for the madness of violence to end.
"May we commit to just and lasting peace. Let us pray for the
people of Ukraine". (ANSA).
