(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 16 - Some 30 parents broke into a school
and attacked a special needs teacher near Naples on Thursday,
sources said Saturday.
They said the cause of the incident were rumours about the
teacher's conduct with some students.
The incident happened at Scanzano, a hamlet of Castellamare di
Stabia, on Thursday morning.
The parents of the alleged victim were also at the scene.
Her father tried to defend her but suffered a broken wrist,
while the teacher sustained a concussion caused by multiple
blows to the head.
Carabinieri intervened to rescue the young woman and her
parents.
Attacks on school staff have risen in Italy lately. (ANSA).
