(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 12 - Tourism flows during the winter
season are expected to decrease with an estimated 26.7 million
arrivals and 78 million bookings, down respectively by 1.3% and
2.8% compared to the same period last year, according to a ruvey
carried out by Demoskopika which ANSA publishes in advance.
Tourism flows, compared to 2019, would be stable in terms of
arrivals (-0.6%) and up in terms of bookings (+5.1%), the
polling agency has estimated.
Expenditure could reach 20.5 billion euros, down 4.4% from the
previous winter, mainly due to a decrease in the number of
foreign tourists taking their winter break in Italy, with an
expected 11 million of arrivals (-3.6%) and 37 million night
stays (-5.2%), according to Demoskopika. (ANSA).
