Commissioner-designate Valdis Dombrovskis said Thursday Italy
was continuing to make good progress on the implementation of
its National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
"On the implementation of Italy's recovery and resilience plan,
we are seeing quite good progress," he said in his confirmation
hearing at the European Parliament.
"Italy has already requested a certain number of payment
requests, and cooperation with the Italian authorities is very
close and very good."
If "some problems emerge", Dombrovskis, past vice-president of
the EU Commission, said, "we will be ready to engage and find
solutions for the implementation, and there are ways to do so,
for example through targeted amendments to the plan". (ANSA).
